Only good for large volume blending

I am very disappointed with the ability for this Vitamix to make small batches. It is useless in making single serving meals, like smoothies. The blender probably works great but I wish Vitamix was more up front about not being able to use this model without the canister being significantly filled. I used to use a Vitamix with the tall canister of the same size no problem in making single serving smoothies. I understand a smaller canister can be purchased and may work for my needs but at such a high price point for the blender I expected it to fit my needs of small batches.

The A2500i is a very powerful blender, robustly made, very nice to look at (I have the red one), and I use it everyday to make my healthy breakfast smoothie. I recommend this blender highly if you have nutrient absorption issues like me and want to eat healthily and get all your vitamins and minerals from natural sources. Next, I’ll try it for green smoothies.

SELF-DETECT is a failure

I am beyond disappointed. Purchase the bundle during the Black Friday sales. The blending cup doesn't work consistently. I had to remove all the items from the blending cup and put them in the 64 oz container. There's no manual option when the self-detect isn't functional. I haven't had a problem with the larger container but it defeats the purpose of this product. The only positive is the ease of the return process.
