This is a lovely, quality dress which is made to be quite flattering. The pleating lightly draped across the mid section helps to hide a bit of a tummy, which helps because this is a quite fitted style of dress, rather than being roomy or billowy. The design of the dress across the shoulders helps you to feel covered and somewhat conceals a bigger arm, but it still feels modern and sexy in a very feminine way. The material has a good amount of stretch and the dress can be a little weighty, but I am wearing it for my daughter's wedding in summer and I am not too worried about being too hot. I am 165cm tall and the dress is the perfect floor length for me in a heel. I typically wear a size 10 but chose the 12 because it would be a little looser and more mother of the bride appropriate, and it would hide any 'bumps', but the size 10 would have been a good option if I wanted a sexier silhouette.This dress would work for any age group - younger women could wear it more off the shoulder and a tighter fit due to the stretch fabric and us older women can wear it and still feel appropriate and comfortable. The colour is a cool toned, muted slate or denim blue. Hope this helps.
