I bought this model after owning the tilt head Artisan for 13 years. I have massively increased my use of the tools that go with it, such as the metal grinder, so invested in a heavier duty version to avoid overworking my loved tilt head model. Iโm able to grind 30 kilos of mince twice without any overheating despite constantly use. The dough hook is really useful in unusual ways with such a large capacity - I use it to macerate my cabbage and other vegetables for live sauerkraut with saves me arduous labour to make fresh live probiotic products. I love that the attachments are stainless steel rather than painted or plastic as Iโm moving away from using petroleum-based products in cooking wherever I can. This model is also far more stable on the bench when performing heavy work. If you own and love your Artisan itโs actually helpful to have the bigger model also, so you can work on multiple tasks at the same time. The front drive fits all the same accessories, so itโs good value for money to be able to switch between the 2.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the 2nd Kitchen Aid mixer I have bought, had the previous one for 19 years & it was still going strong after all that time. Decided to upgrade to the large Bowl-Lift model as I wanted to prepare larger quantities. I still managed to sell the original one at a great price, which offset this purchase making it a great deal, especially during the Black Friday sales! This new machine I have to say is awesome, it's so much quieter than the original & attachments are much better quality parts being stainless steel. As a chef of over 30+ years I know the quality of kitchen aid is phenomenal! I've been using them in every professional kitchen I've worked in, all over the world, & they have been an integral piece of equipment in each kitchen. Thye very rarely break down & if they do it's generally an easy fix. Thank you Kitchen Aid for continuously producing top notch equipment for the everyone to use.
