Weird sizing

Would have been comfortable shoe but sizing is weird. I am a size 8 in all shoes. However with this shoe, my big toe was touching the front but it was too lose at the back. It’s so weird to explain- but there is something weird about the sizing. If I sized up the next size up would have been to big at the back and my foot would have slipped out. This is a shoe I recommend trying on. I returned mine!
