The Best Noise Cancelling:  The WF-1000XM5 reduces external noise over a wide bandwidth, from low to high frequencies.

I have Bose QC Ultra buds and this 1000XM5 as the same generation products, I have to say from sound reporducing quality perspective, Sony is over perform Bose a little bit (i.e. the high frequency part), then from ANC and control side, I'll say Bose did a way better job than Sony. I can easily toggle the mode by touching the Bose buds, but whatever I did, nothing change on Sony, also when I riding bicycle with both buds in ear, I can hardly feel the wind noise with Bose, but Sony did way poorter on that end.

Not as good

I’ve had these for a couple of months, I bought them to replace an old version. The improvements in comfort and noise cancellation are really noticeable. Excellent sound quality and the voice/microphone is very good at blocking surrounding noises (like my dogs barking!).

Quality

My previous review has not been posted, so let me try again. I bought this as a replacement of Pixel Buds Pro 2 and have also used WF-1000XM4, but the user interface of this one is worse than Pixel Buds Pro 2 and the sound quality is basically identical to WF-1000XM4 with the only advantage being that it's less bulkier. Having said that, the plasticky and glossy finish makes it feel like a cheap product. Overall, I am not happy with this product. In addition, Sony is extremely sloppy with price matches. They denied 3 requests only to match in my fourth request (which was identical to one of my earlier ones). For the price they post in the website (without matching), I would never buy this.
