[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this during the recent sale so I was very happy with the price and excited as this is my first KitchenAid stand mixer. It's been great so far! Features like the twist-to-lock bowl (which were new to me) are fantastic and easy to use. The speed adjustment is simple to control and the connecting/disconnecting beater/dough hook etc is extremely easy to the point where I wondered if I was doing it correctly. That's probably the biggest compliment I can give - it's easy to use - and that's a very valuable feature! The bowl is a great size and I am very pleased I didn't opt for the smaller model. I'm interested in exploring some of the add-on extensions you can purchase - I think that those options really elevate the product and really extend its value as a functional centrepiece in a kitchen. One sad note - I am disappointed in the quality of the paint job, there is a small pointy paint drip on the base which is a bit annoying and the hinge area edges have bare metal showing. It's only small but it's a frustration that at this price point I expected better.
