Needs a more durable lining

This was a gift. The size, style, hardware, leather, and hidden phone pocket are great. The lining is terrible. When the first tear showed up, I thought it was a fluke. But more it looks like someone took a knife to the inside, and, no, I don't keep blades in my purse. At this point, the lining is shredded. I have much cheaper purses with more durable linings. This purse is too expensive to buy again on the off chance this was a one time fluke.
