Was really looking forward to getting one of these to toast my daily sourdough breakfast.... but the slices don't fit - the slot it too short for a typical round sourdough loaf slice (needs to be bout 20cm - it's only about 16cm). I've written to Breville about this so I really hope a v2 comes out with longer slots. When they do, I'll buy it in a heartbeat as everything else seems awesome

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a family who uses a toaster regularly this toaster was put to the test. Firstly, appearance wise it is quite slick and looks great on display. Functionality is easy to understand once you nut down your favourite settings. Over a few weeks we tried the toaster with sour dough, wholemeal and white bread as well as some frozen wholemeal bread. We also used it for crumpets. The toaster was used on all the different settings and I can attest it did exactly what it needed to do. I think its a nice step up and splurge from a regular toaster, although a panel to select visually would have given this product a 5 star review as it did take a few tries to find our favourite settings

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The new Eye Q toaster is a very sleek and great looking appliance. I really like the idea of being able to toast based on the colour although it practice it was a bit hit and miss in turns of evenness. It also seemed to take longer than normal for the first toast although subsequent ones were quicker. I did find that the overall waste and texture of the toast was really good. Crispy on the outside but sold inside.
